Galveston's choice for professional martial arts instruction since 1975.....
Dear Students, Families and Friends,
Hope everyone is enjoying the few sunny days we've been getting. I never
thought I would be looking forward to summer but can't wait until it is here:)
Our Spring Break Camp is set for the 15th -18th of March and will give you/your child a great martial arts experience as we expose them to our
entire curriculum. This is an opportunity for you/your child to get 3 months
credit and your next belt in 4 days! Sign up soon as this camp will be limited to the first 20 registered. We are also starting our referral program. Hand out cards, good for 30 days of Tae Kwon Do, to your friends and relatives and if
they sign up on our basic program you/your childs gets $20 and a prize off our
prize board. A lot going on and hope you're having as much fun as we are!

Founded in 1975, World Champion Ishmael Robles’ Martial Arts America is the longest established professional martial arts facility in Galveston County. Martial Arts America has been recognized as one of the top 100 studios in North America by Martial Arts Business Magazine and one of the top competition studios by the National Black Belt League. The studio is a state of the art martial arts facility with the main classroom matted in top of the line tutami matting considered the best training surface in the world. Our second classroom is also matted and doubles as our Fitness Kick-Boxing room. We also have a bag room, pro shop and viewing area. Originally located on the east end of Galveston, the studio relocated in 1979 and again in 1990 to its current site. The studio prides itself in teaching entire families the art of Tae Kwon Do and strengthening the family unit. What sets aside Martial Arts America from other studios is the success we have with preteens. Our unique MAKING THE G.R.A.D.E. curriculum stresses goal setting, respect, a great attitude, discipline and having a healthy amount of self-esteem.
Martial Arts America is a member of the National Association of Professional Martial Artists, the Martial Arts Instructors Association, and Jhoon Rhee International.

SUCCESS IN NOT AN ACCIDENT: Every parent wants the best for their child, but how do you prepare them for all the challenges that they face in life? How do you teach them the motivation, the proper attitude necessary for success? We have the answer with our Making the GRADE program!
* Goals: Our unique reward system of belt ranks allows your child to set short, interim and long term goals up to the coveted Black Belt. We also reward your child for good behavior in order to develop good habits.
*Respect: Respect is the heart of the very foundation of the martial arts. We teach children to have respect for their parents, their elders, teachers, friends and themselves.
*Attitude: One of the best lessons to learn is that even though we can't control all of life's circumstances, situations and people, we can control our attitude towards them.
*Discipline: Self-discipline has been called the master key to success. Studies show that self-discipline leads to better listening skills and increased retention of knowledge.
*Esteem: The first step in teaching children to achieve greatness is getting them to believe they can be great, therefore they'll have the courage to pursue their goals.
The habits, attitudes and confidence your child develops in our martial arts program will last a lifetime. Make sure they get off in the right direction, mentally and physically. We look forward to meeting you!
